Huck - Little Rock Newborn

Leslie and Reid welcomed baby Huck into the world last month! He is such a sweet baby, and he loved cuddling with Mommy and Daddy. His nursery is absolutely adorable, too! The aesthetic is so calm and full of all things lovely, and it has the most fun flare of childhood loves.

I have been friends with Leslie for well over 15 years now, and I've known her for even longer. She and I had some really fun memories in high school...too many to name, really. But there are two things that I love most about Leslie. First, she loves to have fun and she is great at making any situation more fun than it was before she arrived. She loves to laugh and play games and is just a joy to be around. The other thing I love about her, though, is more personal.

Just based on the personality God gave me (any other enneagram ones out there?), I need people in my life to remind me not to take myself too seriously, to open my eyes to see the blessings and fun around me, and to know that no one other than myself cares that I do things perfectly. Leslie has always been that friend for me. I gave Leslie rides quite a bit in high school, and I remember one night so vividly because I was ridiculously late. We were going to a concert at church, and I had agonized over what I was wearing and my hair for far too long, and I knew I had made us soooo late. When I got to Leslie's house, I was frazzled and apologetic, and she really couldn't have cared less. She was just getting ready herself, and she barely noticed that I had failed to pick her up when I said I would. I remember driving down Reynolds Road — finally on the way to the concert — being way more relaxed than before just because Leslie made it fun and okay not to be perfect. We all need those friends, don't we? People in our lives to temper our own struggles and to point us to a better way.

Les, thank you for being that kind of friend! You and Reid have the most precious little one, and it was so fun to spend the afternoon with you three!
